Reading far right and extremist political blogs as I do daily, I find all of these national elements related. There's a strong push the past 5 years or so by the political right spearheaded by crooked Donald Trump and his administration and supporters to overturn the national government, to take it over like so many red States, and trash law and order from Constitution through abortion laws as in Texas this week. Justice Department now headed by right-rejected Merrick Garland is working hard to clean up the mess left by Trump/Att. Gen. Bill Barr. He can't do much about SCOTUS, but FBI harbors right wing subversives requiring purging.

Our 2 political parties are now down to one--Democrats. The defunct GOP and Republican party called RINOs Republicans In Name Only now is reduced to a Trump cult of mindless wacko anarchists, Posse Comitatus, malcontents, disaffected, isolationist, survivalist people ready to eliminate all government, meaning law and order. Pres. Biden keeps shoveling sand against the tide talking about bipartisanship when there's only his party and a gaggle of crazy opponents willing to say or do anything to get him out of office and reinstall crooked and grifter Trump as Mafia capo.

The economy is disrupted by covid-19 but markets continue at record highs. Meanwhile covid decimates supply chains so the economy endures inflation from government and Federal Reserve stimulus checks and bond buying and keeps chugging along undeterred. Simultaneously China expands it's sphere of influence in South China Sea nations, African resource nations, and threatens Taiwan after subduing Hong Kong independence and financial success without the British influence. OPEC maintains high oil prices so their economies thrive and our motorists pay more at the pump with refineries closed from Hurricane Ida, pipelines discontinued for environmental reasons, and scarce disposable income among our fellow citizens who are not yet rich or working again.

What is wrong with our society can't be easily quantified or explained, but 6 years have showed us how many latent criminals, ne'er-do-wells and sycophants there are, in the millions, among our friends and neighbors.

The environment is still showing us how climate trends are jeopardizing residents on the coasts or near waterways, clean water needs ongoing protection from pollution, air needs continuing attention to remain breathable, and land/forests must be conserved to prevent crass commercial interests from making a buck at national expense. Also we see how disorganized right-thinking patriotic middle Americans are in the face of ALEC and Trump followers, and how they lack vision, advanced planners and image-makers to persuade 70% of the nation to mobilize against the subversives, which percentage seems to agree with Biden's Build Back Better agenda and most issues of national need, survival and improvement. Democrats are continually reacting to nasty laws, actions and disrupted norms foisted on the public by care-not Americans ready to give up an organized community of common thinkers, believers and workers for the proverbial banana republic oh-so-apparent to us relatively impotent watchers.

The nation is in real jeopardy of takeover by the minority of criminal or anarchist or lawless immoral factions located everywhere. Is it the Decline and Fall of the American Experiment?

It's all of the above. The Texas abortion bill and the Supreme Court inaction was the final straw for me. The world's gone mad. Yes there's work to be done, but a significant number of Americans, including many of our political "leaders" , have no interest in working toward a better future or the common good. Quite the opposite and they are aiming at the next two election cycles. One positive note is there are Democrats, like Stacy Abrams, that have their act together. It's going to be all hands on deck for the next election cycle. That is if the more extreme progressive wing of the party doesn't sabotage it along the way.
