Friday Night YouTube Music #6
This is not a week for the joy that music can viscerally provide us.
Music can convey so much about human existence, in both physical and emotional ways. The news from Texas this week of yet another horrific school shooting is a somber reminder that sorrow sometimes visits our lives. It would seem fitting at these times that the music we may listen to offers both consolation and hope.
I had intended to post some videos this week of various vocalists, one of whom is Antwaun Stanley. Just this week I found his rendition of Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water, recorded in a dressing room with the ubiquitous Cory Wong accompanying him on guitar:
