Youth & vigor against old-age & treachery!

I think this nation can recover. Day by day a growing number of young people eclipse the voting age and they are politically active in a way that hasn’t been seen in a long time. Many of the problems of government have been allowed to fester and decay by the apathy of the non voter for a long time. I suspect that the growing number of politically active younger voters and the aging power structure are both paving the way for government to have a bit of a growth spurt of sorts.

I share your optimism, but wonder if if a sufficient number of people have the perseverance to take on a decades-long reform project. There are lots of obstacles, no the least of which are voters who susceptible to authoritarianism. More to say on many of these topics.

Average age of authoritarian voters? Average perseverance quotient of authoritarian voters? Average intelligence of authoritarian voters? *versus* Average attention span of younger voters? Average dedication quotient of younger voters?

Going to be interesting to watch. Lots of “goings on” as it was used to be said.

Excellent points to think about.
