We all know that it is a contagious virus that has reacted very similar to the flu virus while being more dangerous and lethal. I had a hard time with all the contradictory advice given by government agencies. For example: If herd immunity and vaccination are good for preventing infection or re-infection, why don't we protect the at risk folks and let healthy folks get the antibodies? Most of our government officials speak out of both ends which just hurts the cause.

I agree with the confusing guidelines, though I personally attribute it to 1) medical science playing catchup, and 2) politics. But your reply made me look into a comparison between the flu and covid. The CDC offered this- https://www.cdc.gov/flu/symptoms/flu-vs-covid19.htm. In a nutshell, the two diseases are caused by different viruses but have similar symptoms,
